The Scientific Committee of SINQ was established in 1995. It is a panel from ten external international
experts in the field of neutron scattering from condensed matter and another three for neutron imaging. The commitee gathers twice a year to
discuss strategic items concerning SINQ and its instrumentation and also to review the submitted proposals.
It then makes recommendations to the PSI directorate. The usual term of office is three years.
