SINQ/SμS - Experimental Reports

Guidelines

  • At the latest 6 months after finishing an experiment or by the end of the calendar year of the experiment (depending what comes first) a one-page experimental report should be submitted. For longterm proposals this means 6 months after finishing the last experiment that was allocated within the accepted proposal.
  • If a continuation proposal is submitted it is necessary that the experimental report of the preceding experiment has already been submitted. Otherwise the new continuation proposal cannot be considered for the allocation of beamtime.
  • For previous SINQ longterm proposals it is required to also submit an intermediate experimental report after the first year (2 cycles) of beam time allocation. Without that report no beamtime will be allocated for the remaining second year.
  • The reports should only be submitted via DUO. For that purpose the main proposers should choose the menu function 'Experimental reports' from the 'Proposals' box. Then you are asked to select the respective proposal and upload a pdf file with the report. The format of the reports remains unchanged (two columns style). Please download the report template here.
  • For those experiments which received funding within the EC-NMI3 project, the abstract of the experimental report will be extracted as the 'achievements' for the EC annual report. During upload a dialog box opens to ask the main proposer to check the text and eventually to modify the abstract if needed.
