SINQ - News:

• The next call for proposals will be launched in April 2010 with a proposal submission deadline on May 15, 2010, midnight for all instruments. Those proposals will request for beamtime in the period September - December 2010.

• SINQ received more than 170 new proposals in November 2009, as many as never before for a single submission deadline.

• After the annual shutdown SINQ is back in operation since April 15, 2009.

• PSI launched a quarterly Facility Newletter. The recent edition is available here.

• On Oct 12-13, 2009 the first Joint Users' Meeting at PSI (JUM@P 09) was organized involving the SINQ, the SLS and the SμS user communities.

• The recent proposal review meeting was on Feb 5-6 at PSI. The authors of the recent proposals (I/09, deadline: November 08) were informed mid February about the results of the evaluation.

• First for a test period of two cycles (I/09 and II/09) the submission of new long term proposals will be disabled. Instead we ask our users to submit short term proposals followed by continuation requests.
